About DrawDuel

A 1v1 ranked drawing game you can pick up in one click.

What DrawDuel is

DrawDuel is a head-to-head drawing game. You and one other person get the same prompt and sixty seconds, you both draw it, and an AI judge picks the better attempt. Win and your rank climbs, lose and you queue straight back up for a rematch. That whole loop takes about two minutes, and it runs in a browser tab with nothing to download.

It is built for the kind of person who can’t draw but will absolutely throw down anyway. The fun isn’t in being good. It’s in racing the clock, watching what your rival commits to, and finding out whose wonky cat the judge believed in.

Why we made it

Most online drawing games are big lobbies where you wait around for a turn and guess at what other people scribble. We wanted the opposite: one opponent, one prompt, a real result, and a reason to play the next round. A 1v1 with a winner and a ladder turns a doodle into a duel.

The ranked ladder is the part we cared about most. A game is more fun when a round actually counts, so every duel moves your Elo and the leaderboard is real. You can start at the bottom and grind your way up, and the climb is the whole point.

How the AI judge works

Each duel is scored by an AI judge rather than a vote, so there’s no popularity contest and no waiting on other players to rate you. It looks at how well the drawing matches the prompt, how recognizable it is, and the effort and creativity behind it, then names a winner and explains the call.

It is software, and software gets things wrong sometimes. The verdict is final for the match and the ladder, but it’s a game result, not a grade on your art. Half the laughs come from a verdict you’d argue with.

Free to play, cosmetic only

DrawDuel is free, and the game itself stays that way. We keep the lights on with ads for free players and an optional Pro upgrade that removes them and unlocks cosmetics like brushes, palettes, and victory animations.

None of that touches who wins a duel. Pro can’t buy you a better score or a higher rank, because the moment it could, the ladder would be worthless. Skill wins duels, not a wallet.

Who’s behind it

DrawDuel is made by a small independent team that likes games you can pick up in one click and an art style that feels hand-drawn instead of corporate. We read what players send us and the game keeps changing because of it.

Got a bug, a prompt idea, a press question, or just want to tell us your cat won and the judge was wrong? Email hello@drawduel.io and a real person will read it.

Enough reading. Go draw.
